Recently I was chosen by Crowdtap (I'll put more information about it in the bottom of this post) to host a Garnier Skin Active party! I received 8 normal Micellar Water (pink lid), 2 waterproof Micellar Water (blue lid), 11 Clearly Brighter Moisturizer, a sleeve of cotton pads, & a $10 giftcard for party supplies!
I will explain exactly what each product does & review how I think it worked & if I recommend trying it or not!
I will start off with the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water! The info pamphlet I received says that it: 1. removes makeup, cleanses, & refreshes in just one step. 2. Suprisingly powerful, yet gentle on even sensitive skin. 3. No rinsing or harsh rubbing.
To be honest before I tried it I was a bit skeptical of how well it actually removes makeup, my usual makeup removing routine has always consisted of using baby oil as my mother does & her mother does. Normally I don't wear a ton of facial makeup, but I do enjoy enhancing my eye makeup so I use eye shadow, liquid eyeliner, regular eyeliner, & of course mascara. At the end of the night after wearing makeup all day I decided to give this Micellar water a try! I squirted some out onto the cotton pad & followed the directions (which are pretty simple: pour on pad, press, & wipe away).

I was truly astonished as to how well it took my makeup off, I didn't have to scrub my face at all!
If you wear your eye makeup right on the inside of your bottom lid like I do or up close to your lashes (on top or bottom lid) you can actually take a q-tip & put the micellar water on it to get into those tiny spots!
I am really impressed with how amazing this water works & it doesn't aggravate my skin at all! I even use the Micellar Cleansing Water on my face even when I don't wear makeup to cleanse & clean my face even then with no makeup on you can get the proof from the pad & see how well it cleans the face! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, even if you don't use makeup all the time you can still cleanse your face with this!
Next is the Garnier Skin Active Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF15!
The info pamphlet says that:
1. Clinically Proven Results in just one week.
2. Antioxidant complex with Vitamin C, E, and LHA
3. Broad Spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen
4. Reveal 2 key dimensions of brighter looking skin: Radian, more even skin tone & Improves skin texture, even reduces wrinkles.
Personally I don't normally use a moisturizer on my face, however whenever it comes to all these wonderful things that are listed about what this product does why wouldn't I want to try this?! I have used this every night since I have received it & to be honest I really have noticed a difference in my facial skin! I've noticed that my skin tone is more even, I have always had a little bit of redness on my cheeks & chin since I was a young child & this actually seems to make it not quite as noticeable or at least to me it has! I have also noticed how soft my skin has been, typically I have dry skin right on the side of my nose where I have a nose ring & this has helped to keep my skin moisturized & I no longer have that flaky skin there! I think it has helped reduce some of my wrinkles a bit too, I have those wrinkles that you get at the top of your forehead from those silly facial expressions we as humans make, this has seemed to make them not quite so deep & I love that! I would definitely recommend trying this product!
My husband was actually nice enough to let me try these products on him as well & no he doesn't wear makeup or is into all those girly facial products (haha). He has pretty sensitive skin, so much that I have to be careful what type of detergent that I buy & almost everything breaks him out. I applied the Micellar water onto his face to just cleanse his pores & make his face nice & clean! Afterwards I gave his face a moment to dry I then applied the Clearly Brighter Moisturizer! He was actually really surprised that neither one of these products made him break out! He said that with only using the moisturizer once he already noticed a difference & he continued to use it!
Really I think that Garnier has done a great job with even just these two products alone & that makes me want to try more of their products! I highly recommend both the Micellar Cleansing Water & the Garnier Clearly Brighter Moisturizer!
